Parents/Guardians,

Your child, and their teachers have been working hard to prepare for the STAAR test, and now the time has arrived! Please see the schedule below for detailed testing days. We request that you do not schedule appointments on the day your child will be tested.

The campus will be closed during the week of the STAAR tests. 3rd Grade ELAR Tuesday, April 16th 4th Grade ELAR Wednesday, April 17th 3rd grade Math Tuesday, April 30th 4th grade Math Wednesday, May 1st

Please encourage your child to do their best by doing the following: ● Discuss the tests with your child. Talking about the tests will help ease your child’s worries and allow you to support them. ● Make sure your child goes to bed early and gets plenty of rest. Students’ minds and bodies must be ready to focus for an extended time. ● Make sure your child eats a good breakfast.

Students may eat breakfast in the school cafeteria from 7:30-7:55 AM. ● Arrive to school on time. Being late may cause your child to feel rushed and nervous. Arriving on time will help your child feel relaxed and ready to do their best. ● Communicate any questions or concerns with your child’s teacher.

We understand that illness and emergencies may happen. Please communicate with us if either arises. Working together, we will ensure that all children have an opportunity to do their absolute best on the STAAR test.
